How to make laundry smell good
Making yourself look and feel good in new clothes and retiring to bed in freshly laundered bedding is a pleasant experience.
For extended periods of time, however, when we must store out-of-season clothing or bedding, our laundry requires a scent boost to prevent the odors from becoming excessive.
These five simple methods will help you keep your clothes smelling fresh without resorting to potentially harmful chemicals such as dryer sheets
Lavender water
A great way to start your day. Before placing your clothes in the washer, spritz your garments with lavender water to freshen them up. When the perfume has dried, it will remain for a long period of time in your clothing. You’re not a fan, are you? Consider using essential oil to enhance your experience. Rosewater also has a lovely fragrance to it.
Essential Oils of Citrus Fruits
Baking soda, baking powder 1 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup borax, 1 cup white vinegar, 20 drops lemon or orange oil, 1/2 cup borax This can be added to your laundry detergent and used the same way you typically would.
Mint-scented laundry detergent
Using Dr. Bronner‘s Peppermint Soap to wash your clothes can help to keep them clean and fresh-smelling without the use of hazardous chemicals found in scented detergents and other laundry products. Please consult the owner’s manual of your washing machine to learn whether any detergent restrictions are in effect
